Apprentice Rates of Pay from June 2009

Due to the current economic downturn it has been proposed that there was be a pay freeze proposed when the current three year (CIJC) agreement expires at the end of June 2009. It is understood that this matter be reviewed again in the Autumn in order that a further assessment of the economic situation can take place.

 In conclusion, the status quo will be maintained with all of the existing provisions of the current Working Rule Agreement to continue beyond the 30^th June 2009 with no changes to pay rates, travel allowances, lodging allowance or industry sick pay.
